📅 How renewals work
Each month, unless you take action, your active Sharesub subscriptions are automatically renewed. The charge is made at the beginning of the month to cover the entire upcoming month.
🧾 I joined a subscription less than a month ago
If you joined a subscription during the month, your first payment is prorated for the remaining days until the end of the month.
The subscription cycle on Sharesub is monthly and aligned with the calendar: regardless of when you join, the renewal takes place on the 1st of each month.
🧪 Examples :
If you join on April 1st, your month runs until April 30th.
If you join on April 28th, you pay for the remaining 3 days of the month. On May 1st, a new full month begins and is charged in full.
📌 Important: If you do not wish to be charged for the following month, you must leave the subscription before the end of the current month. Any started month is fully due.
⏳ Can the charge date be changed ?
No, the date cannot be changed. Sharesub uses fixed dates to ensure timely payments to organizers, who must in turn pay subscription platforms on time.
💳 My card is lost, expired, or being renewed
If you have no available card:
- Temporarily add another card (e.g. from a family member).
- Once you receive your new card, link it to your account and remove the old one.
🎯 This helps avoid losing access and disruptions in groups, especially for subscriptions sensitive to member changes such as Spotify, Nintendo, or YouTube.
⚠️ Common payment errors
Expired card: add a new card to your account.
Insufficient funds or limit reached: you can adjust your limit from your banking app.
3D Secure validation required: you received an email with a confirmation link. Click it to authorize the payment.
💶 Why is €1 charged when adding a card ?
When adding a new card, a €1 test payment is required by the banking system. It is not charged and is automatically cancelled within a few days.
