1. Sharesub is a matchmaking platform between individuals
Sharesub allows individuals to share their subscriptions easily and securely. Since this is a transaction between individuals, we cannot (from a legal and accounting perspective) issue an invoice for the total amount paid.
We act solely as intermediaries and charge service fees on each subscriber payment to cover matchmaking costs, payment processing, and our buyer protection program.
It is important to note that the terms and conditions serve as the legal agreement between the parties and must be followed in good faith in accordance with Articles 1103 and 1104 of the Civil Code.
2. VAT applies only to our commission
When you make a payment on Sharesub, it includes:
The portion directly received by the seller (the other individual sharing their subscription).
Sharesub’s commission, which covers matchmaking costs and associated services.
Only our commission is subject to VAT, which is why we can issue an invoice only for this part.
Example: If you pay €4.50 for a subscription on Sharesub:
€4 is transferred to the seller.
€0.50 corresponds to our commission.
We apply 20% VAT on our commission (i.e., €0.08 VAT on €0.42 excluding VAT).
3. Receipts are available upon request
Although we do not provide a VAT invoice for the full payment amount, we can issue a receipt upon request. This document serves as proof of payment and is generally sufficient for most needs.
If you would like to receive a receipt, please feel free to contact our customer support.
