Yes, Youtube Premium Family and Youtube Music Family accounts are designed for sharing. The Family plan allows you to share the benefits of Youtube Premium with up to 6 people (including yourself). You can share your subscription and its benefits with up to 5 people in your Google family. It only works between members from the same country.

How to share a YouTube Premium Family or YouTube Music Family subscription ?

To share your Youtube account, you must invite your co-subscribers using the email they provided via the Sharesub chat:

Sign in to your Youtube account then click on your profile in the top right corner.
Go to the “Paid Memberships” section.
Click on “Manage”.
Then, click on the three small dots in the top right of the window that opens and go to Family Sharing settings.
Add a member by clicking on “Invite Family Member”.
Enter the email address of the member you wish to add and click send.

The co-subscriber will receive the link by email, and they just need to follow the instructions!

How to join a Youtube Premium Family or Youtube Music Family subscription ?

To enjoy your Youtube subscription, go to your account and visit the Joined Subscriptions page.

Click on "See Details" for your Spotify subscription.
Share your email address via the Sharesub chat with the subscription owner. The owner of your subscription will send an invitation to your email address via Google.
Follow the instructions in the email you receive to join the user's family group.

I can't change my YouTube family for 12 months,what should I do ?

YouTube limits the number of family changes you can make. You can only join a new family with the same account 12 months after leaving your first family.

There are solutions to bypass this restriction:

You can use a new Google account to join your YouTube subscription.
Create a new Youtube account using your email address by creating an alias. This will allow you to have just one email inbox.

Most email providers (Gmail, Outlook, Hotmail) support aliases. For example, if your email is [email protected], you can add a “+” to your email like this: [email protected] when creating a new account.

The “+” symbol defines the alias. Emails sent to the address [email protected] will still arrive in your [email protected] inbox.

If you want to keep your playlists, make sure to migrate them before switching accounts.
